Quick twist & side puff

Quick twist & side puff

This is my go to style if I am in a rush; simple & cute!

1. Usually done on wet hair after washed, conditioned & detangled. Make an off centered, side part.

2. Add Fantasia IC Gel to sides and brush down edges.

3. Begin large twist on one side and finish on the opposite side.

4. Brush all the hair to the end of the twist and put in a ponytail holder.

5. For a longer lasting curl, I did mini twists on the section in the ponytail holder and put them on purple perm rods  over night. Took them out in the morning and voila! (To make it even more simple, I’ll just leave it out in a puff and add some leave-in conditioner instead of doing the twists & rods [Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner or Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner…why is the name so long!]

Flexi-Rod Set Day 7! Happy Friday!

16 Sep

So, I co-washed today with Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner because it needed some moisture & it just seemed like a good idea. I tried not to mess with the curls too much so they’d stay in and I dried with a t-shirt (I also used Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie on the ends)…here’s how it turned out:

As you can see, some of the pieces in the back didn’t keep the curl probably because I messed with them a little too much while co-washing, but that’s not a huge deal.  Also, the middle section soaked up a  lot of water & decided to shrink up considerably so that’s why it’s about time to go on and wash & start over.  I plan on washing, deep conditioning & detangling today, then doing medium 2 strand twists & will practice my flat twists in the front. This should be a good protective style for a while. We’ll see how it goes! 🙂
